1762.The general gazetteer, or, Compendious geographical dictionary

Those geographic Gazetter saids it is Sea of Japan.

It is interesting that the attached map shows "Sea of Korea" at the Sea of Japan space, but in the text they said it is Sea of Japan. It reminds me the case of Du Hadle's case. The atteched map of Royaume de Coree said "Mer du Coree" altough all the texts they use "Mer du Japon"(See my past post). So It can assumed that Mer du Japon was common at that time but some korean map use the sea of Korea?
